The Axminster Tools Show will not be taking place this year.

For many years we have enjoyed tremendous support for our annual tools show and our events have been extremely successful in terms of planning and organisation. However, in line with the trend for other national shows, visitor numbers have been marginally lower in recent years.

Over the years the Show has evolved significantly from being a rather modest event to become the biggest of its kind in the UK. As the show has grown in size so have the costs and time required to organise it. After conducting a thorough review and analysis we found that the significant costs and, more importantly, the amount of resources absorbed by its organisation made it unsustainable against visitor numbers.

Further factors including increasing demands on supplier activity and their diminishing budgets allocated to show attendance have led to us reluctantly taking the decision not to hold the event in 2009.
